What Support Looks Like:
-
After your inquiry call, we assign two doulas to you as your birth team. These are the two doulas that you will interview and who will be on call for your birth and available to you for your entire pregnancy.
We like to set up a zoom call between 10-20 weeks. to interview and meet them, however we do take people after that as well if there is still availability.
Once you hire, you will sign a contract and pay the 50% deposit
We will start a group chat for you and your doulas immediately so your 24/7 support starts right away.
We have 2 in person meetings, one at 32 weeks and one at 36 weeks - here we will discuss anything you need, but also include Birth Plan, Coping, Belly Mapping/Baby Positioning, Daily routines, labor prep and anything else that is appropriate for your labor goals.
We are on call and ready for your labor to begin at anytime from 36 weeks - 42 weeks. One of the 2 doulas will join you at home or at the hospital (whichever you request) once labor gets intense.
We are with you until 1-2 hours after delivery.
We will come to your house within 1 week to support you at home for a one hour visit.
-
Whether you were a birth client continuing on with postpartum care, or a postpartum client only - we like to meet you before you deliver.
After you initial inquiry call with Chelsea, you will be assigned two doulas that will be your primary doula care team.
For clients intending on overnight support, they will want to come and do a walk through after you hire.
During the walk through you can decide on an appropriate space for our team to rest with the baby nearby and also walk through your sleep setup when we are not there to ask any questions you may have regarding feeding/sleeping.
Once you deliver, you will notify us and we will begin planning the week ahead with your requested days.
Chelsea is in charge of scheduling and billing, so anything in that category goes through her.
Sleep, feeding, newborn care questions will all go through your care team.
